In the tradition of his duet with Elton John at last year's Grammys, Eminem has enlisted Philadelphia hip-hop group the Roots to back him up during his live performance of "Lose Yourself" at this year's awards ceremony, happening Sunday. ... Kid Rock and Dave Grohl have also been added to the list of performers for the 45th annual Grammy Awards. Rock will perform with Sheryl Crow and Grohl will join Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and others in a tribute to Joe Strummer and the Clash. Rob Zombie fans are long accustomed to waiting for his "House of 1,000 Corpses" horror flick, so news that they'll have to wait a bit longer for the release of the soundtrack shouldn't scare them off. The new due date for the LP, which features four new Zombie tracks, including "Brick House 2003," his cover collaboration with rapper Trina and ex-Commodore Lionel Richie, has been pushed back to April 1. The film is still slated to hit theaters April 11. ... Cold will team up with director Marc Webb (Good Charlotte, Puddle of Mudd, Green Day) to shoot a video for "Stupid Girl," the first single from the band's upcoming Year of the Spider, this Saturday in Minneapolis. Late punk icon Dee Dee Ramone appears on the latest album by New York punks Youth Gone Mad. The songwriter and bassist, who died in June, wrote and recorded songs, as well as designed the artwork for Youth Gone Mad Featuring Dee Dee Ramone, which was released February 11. ... Johnny Paycheck, the country maverick who proclaimed "Take This Job and Shove It," died in his sleep on Tuesday in a Nashville nursing home. He was 64. Paycheck was suffering from emphysema and diabetes. Although he is remembered by many as a non-conformist outlaw who battled booze and the IRS and spent two years in jail for shooting a man, Paycheck recorded over 70 albums during his career and landed 11 top 10 country singles. ...

Queen encountered a major problem recently when they decided to remix their complete catalog in Surround Sound: Some of their masters have disappeared. Recordings of "Sheer Heart Attack, "All Dead, All Dead," "Spread Your Wings," "God Save the Queen" and six other songs are missing from EMI storage rooms and studio vaults. Guitarist Brian May has posted a plea on the band's official Web site to anyone that might know where the tapes are, and added that there will be a reward offered to any major crime solvers in the case. ... Original Queensr˙che guitarist Chris DeGarmo has reunited with his former bandmates in a Seattle studio and is working on the group's next record, which is slated for a summer release. DeGarmo left the band after its 1997 disc, Hear in the Now Frontier. ...
